Tennis is a great game, but tennis exchange betting gives you potential to earn money with it.
Here is our ultimate Tennis Exchange Betting strategy. Tennis can be a real money making machine if you approach the game correctly. We will not place simple bets, we will trade on a game for minutes and exit with profit. To do this, we will have to use a bet exchange, such as Betfair. We have tested this strategy for over a year and finished with a large plus, the kind we couldn't achieve with any other sports. At least not in a matter of minutes.
We can all spot a favourite on a tennis match, but the odds are usually not worth betting on it. A classic scenario that repeats itself in tennis is - the favourite will have a slow start in the first set. And this is the moment you are waiting for.
First step is to analyse the players. Choose your favorite in a game. In case you aren't a tennis fan (yet), you have to check out this website: TENNIS STATS . This is NOT a prediction site, but contains all information's you need to spot a favorite of a game. Achievements on a certain surface, current injuries and head to head data.
Favorites usually come with ridiculous odds, not worth betting. Take Nadal for instance, or Djokovic. Rarely above 1.10, but those players loose, too! Of course. Why place a bet at 1.10 if you can wait and see what happens?
The players use the first set to get in the game, to "touch and feel" their opponents and to analyse their game. As soon as our strong favorite falls behind (which happens more often than you think!) we will back him. Meaning - we are waiting for the underdog to break his serve, and this will raise our favorite player's odds instantly. If you're lucky, they will get a double break and increase it even more!
Make sure our favorite is falling behind and is available at at least 2.0. Now, you are ready to place a bet on him/her.
One simple break in favour of our favorite will lower the odds enough for a successful bet exchange trade. Here are few examples - all our favorites were suddenly broken and this gave us a chance for a nice risk-free profit:

As soon as our favorite is back-ed, we wait for his/her awakening. Strong favorites almost never go down in straight sets! There is always fight and struggle.
When do we sell (lay) our favorite? Simple - decide on the fly - according to what you see in the game. Is he trying of is the body language telling you he has given up on the game? The golden rule should be - lay your favorite as soon as he re-breaks his opponent.
Lay with the same amount you have back-ed him. This way, you'll create a risk free bet. If possible, DON'T SPREAD YOUR WINNINGS YET! Keep a free bet on your favorite. Later, when our favorite is really hammering his opponent - back the underdog to spread your winnings across both players (green up). (From experience - we usually create a free bet and wait for opponent to rise up to 4.0 and spread the winnings.
- play this strategy on a bet exchange!
- choose a favorite of daily games. If you can't decide - don't trade on this game. Only games with strong favorites (in your opinion) should be played.
- don't place any bets in the beginning. Wait and hope for our favorite to fall behind - getting the first break on his serve. If this doesn't happen in a game - don't bet on it anymore. Leave this game alone and move on to the next one.
- As soon as our favorite is behind, use the highest odds possible. Get as close to - or over 2.0 and place a bet on him. If the odds are still not high enough, don't place a bet on him!
- Once you've placed your bet, wait for our favorite player to get back in the game, and re-break the opponent. If it doesn't happen in the first set, wait for the second one. There is still enough time. As soon as this happens, and if you're happy with the profits, lay our favorite with the same amount you have back-ed him. Example - Back Djokovic with 20€ at 2.0, now you will lay him with 20€ at... let's say 1.30. This creates a free bet you can't loose anymore.
- If you're confident he'll win the match, leave it like that. If you want to spread the winning across both players, make sure the underdog's odds are at least 2.0 (preferably 4.0 or more). Now take a piece of your free bet and place it on the underdog. Perfect - you will make money no matter who wins the game.
- repeat this until you are ready to retire
+ If possible - watch the game to make sure your favorite isn't letting you down!
+ If the favorite won the first set, leave this game alone. It's not worth betting on anymore. Move on to the next game.
This scenario happens almost every day at one of the in-play matches on a bet exchange. Of course, our favorite can also loose the game without a fight, but this doesn't happen often.
Sometimes, there will be a day, when all of our favorites win the games easily and there won't be any chance for a trade like this. Don't get upset when this happens - sooner or later, your chance will come again!
Happy trading!
PS - a variation of this strategy is - let the players end the first set and if our favorite lost it - bet on him in the begining of the second set. As soon as he breaks the underdog, sell the bet for a risk free profit! If you're lucky, he lost the first set with 6-0 and started the second set with a break. Don't think it's impossible - it happens very often!
